The Hampstead Hill Club is a swimming, recreation and social club located in West Granby, Connecticut. The club has been providing its membership with the opportunity to swim, picnic, and relax in a pristine setting off of the Salmon Brook River since 1935. In a letter to HHC’s original supporting members dated August 1, 1935, the club’s purpose was to “provide a place in an agreeable and convenient location where ….. membership of congenial people, young and old, can enjoy a simple and temperate recreation indoors and outdoors.” Thus this is the tradition of the club that started in 1935 and continues through today.
Entertaining, and meeting friends old and new, is a big part of what attracts people to Hampstead Hill. There are club-sponsored events such as the Summer Beach Party and Oktoberfest that bring all the members together as well as the opportunity for members to host private parties for their friends and families.
While a private club, we are always interested in new members that would like to join.
